In the acupuncture therapy, needles are pricked on the points based on the disease intended to treat. Extremely fine sterile and disposable needles are used in the therapy. Patient feels only a very slight pain at the initial puncture of needles. After a while, a slight sensation of heat can develop. Needles are left in the skin for about 20 to 30 minutes.
